Louie's Gifts For Good

This Christmas, we’re spreading a little extra magic to children and families spending the holidays in hospital.

Over the past year, we’ve collected feedback from parents, nurses, and volunteers to create a list of the most wished for and most needed gifts.

Our aim is to make sure every child including their family have something special to unwrap at Christmas.

How It Works

It’s easy to get involved! Just follow these simple steps to help us bring comfort and joy to families spending Christmas in hospital.
Step 1: Pick a Tag

Come by our office and pick a tag from the tree. Each tag has a suggested item and age range to help you find the perfect gift.

Step 2: Buy a Gift

Please make sure gifts are new and unused everyone deserves something new to open. There's no need to wrap your gifts as we need to make sure they are suitable for the age range or in hospital.

Step 3: Add your personal touch (optional)

On the bottom of your tag, there’s space to write your name or your workplace. It’s a lovely way to show who your gift is from and makes it extra special for the family receiving it.

Step 4: Bring It Back to Louie’s

Drop your unwrapped gifts, along with the gift tag, off at Louie’s Office before Thursday 12th December.

Step 5: We’ll Take Care of the Rest

Our team of volunteers will sort, wrap, and deliver all gifts to hospitals and local community nurses to distribute to the children & their families.

Penguin Decorations

On the back of each tag, there is a little penguin decoration for those receiving the gift to colour in, cut out, and keep.

It’s our way of creating entertainment, bringing happiness and reducing waste.

We designed our penguins so that:

  • Children can colour them in and hang them on their Christmas tree, bedspace, or hospital window.
  • Parents can keep them as a little memento from their time in hosptial or as a book mark.

We’d love to see as many penguins as possible, take a photo of your penguin and share it with us on social media: @louiescharity

FAQ

Here’s everything you need to know before taking part in Louie’s Gifts for Good.
About the Gifts
Do I have to buy the exact item listed on the tag?

Not at all! The tags are just suggestions to help you choose something suitable for that age range.

If you find a similar item that fits the same age range or theme, that’s perfect.

Can I include sweets or chocolates?

If you do, please consider dairy-free, gluten-free, or vegetarian options so every child can enjoy something.

What if the toy I bought needs batteries?

Please pop batteries inside the toy or include them in the bag. That way, children can play with their gift straight away.

Can I wrap the gift before dropping it off?

Please don’t wrap gifts, it helps our team check everything is safe, age-appropriate, and fair for all the children.

We’ll wrap everything together at Louie’s HQ before it’s delivered.

Can I just donate money instead of buying a gift?

Absolutely. You can make a donation through our website, and our team will use it to buy gifts and essentials that are most in demand.
